Terms of Use
Last updated 18 July 2026.
These terms apply when you use this website. By using the site, you agree to them. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Bloomfield & Associates, and “you” refers to anyone who uses the site. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Using this website
These terms apply whenever you access or use this website. You may use the site for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or with anyone else’s use of it. We may change, update or remove content on the site, and we may revise these terms, from time to time. Any change takes effect when we publish it here, so please check back from time to time. If you keep using the site after we make a change, you accept the updated terms.
No advice relationship
The information on this website is general in nature and is provided for information only. It is not accounting, taxation, financial or other professional advice, and it does not take account of your particular circumstances, objectives or needs. Nothing on this site creates a client relationship between you and us. We take on client work only under a written engagement letter that sets out the scope of the work, and any advice we give is given under that engagement. Before you act on anything you read here, please talk to us so we can consider your specific situation.
Intellectual property
Unless we say otherwise, the content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and layout, is owned by us or used under licence. You are welcome to view, browse and print pages from the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, adapt, scrape or otherwise use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Our name, logo and branding may not be used without our consent.
Links to other sites
This website links to services and pages run by other organisations, such as Calendly for booking consultations and our Facebook page. We provide these links for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy and security practices. When you follow a link away from this site, the other organisation’s terms and privacy policy apply, not ours.
Limitation of liability
These website terms cover your use of this website. Your engagement of us for accounting, taxation or advisory work is governed separately by our engagement letter and our terms and conditions of trade. Where there is any inconsistency, the engagement letter and terms and conditions of trade prevail over these website terms for that work.
The content on this website is general information only and does not constitute professional, financial or tax advice. Liability for any reliance on this general information is expressly disclaimed. Formal advice is subject to a signed engagement letter.
We are members of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and carry out our work in line with the IPA’s professional and ethical standards.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, arising out of any breach of these terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, remedy, guarantee, warranty or other term or condition implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for a failure to comply with such a guarantee cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania and the federal courts of Australia sitting in Tasmania.
