Fearless and hardworking – we are here to represent you to the Australian Taxation Office. With attention to detail and a strong focus on the latest changes in tax law our aim is to be the best resource a small business can have. Our staff are well experienced, here for the long haul and more importantly are chosen for their communication skills. It’s one thing to do a great tax return – entirely another to have the client understand what is going on…..
Bloomfield & Associates was founded on the 22nd August 1998 in response to client demand. Our firm would be one of the few firms established locally purely on organic growth – we rely entirely on word of mouth for client referrals. Our integrity, honesty and dedication to our client base sells our name throughout Tasmania and beyond.
Our firm believes in working with the client side by side – by being available when it suits the client including at short notice. The bulk of our client base own businesses and it is for this reason we understand how hard it is to judge time for making appointments, not to mention the times you need that advice right then – not in 3 days when it suits your accountant’s schedule.
Our firm values each and every client – and we firmly believe that our success is entirely based on the success of our clients which maintains a sharp focus on you – the client.
The Principal Accountant
Louise Bloomfield has worked in and around small to medium sized businesses since she was 17. Whilst obtaining her degree she worked up to 4 jobs at a time learning about the small business mechanism and what makes things tick.
Louise holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Fellowships in both the IPA (Institute of Public Accountants), NTAA (National Tax Agents Association) and is also a registered Tax Agent. Louise has both the resources and experience in business to know how to take a struggling business and make it thrive.
Bloomfield and Associates has evolved to be whole package for business – and Louise is well qualified to handle it all.
Louise is also a fantastic net-worker – and it is this skill that allows her to both support and invest in the local business community. Over the past 3 or 4 years she has been responsible for setting up 2 business to business networking chapters – as well as leading a local (but now defunct) BNI chapter in Hobart.
Louise also believes strongly in ongoing professional education – and was delighted to have had the opportunity to MC the first ever Legalwise Seminar for Accountants in Hobart in February 2017. In addition to this she has had a regular guest lecture role at the University of Tasmania on the topic of Integrity for the Accounting Professional.
